SAC ANNOUNCES 2007 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

COLUMBUS, Ohio -The Ohio State University Student-Alumni Council would like to congratulate the following Student-Alumni Council Scholarship recipients: 

Andy J. Senita—Andy Senita is a senior majoring in Psychology.  He is currently involved with the Undergraduate Student Government at Ohio State where he serves as the Deputy Director of Member Development.  He is also involved with two different research labs in his academic department.  Upon graduation, Senita hopes to begin his graduate academic pursuits at The Ohio State University.

Matthew E. Sims—Matthew Sims is a freshman majoring in Finance.  He is one of twenty-two incoming freshman business Honors students admitted into the Business Honors Learning Community.  He is also actively involved in the Business Builders Club.  One of Sims’ long term goals includes becoming a political leader.  After his time at Ohio State, Sims plans on becoming a contributing member of the Ohio State Alumni Association.

Leigh C. Lotocki—Leigh Lotocki is a freshman Communications major.  Lotocki is an Arts Scholar at Ohio State and is also a Buckeye Plus Scholar.  She also won the Washington, DC Ohio State Alumni Club Scholarship this year.  Because of her experience with the Washington, DC Alumni Club, Lotocki realizes the benefit of staying involved with the Ohio State University even after graduation.  The most significant part of her experience at Ohio State has been her involvement with the OSU Dance Program.

All three winners display the Student-Alumni Council’s core values: Service to the university, buckeye spirit and tradition, leadership, educational excellence and involvement within the OSU community. Congratulations again to these outstanding Ohio State students. 

The Student-Alumni Council (SAC) is a student advancement organization dedicated to serving Ohio State students past, present, and future through the support and coordination of university and The Ohio State University Alumni Association, Inc. events.  A member of the Association for Student Advancement Programs (ASAP) and its parent organization, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), SAC strives to advance The Ohio State University through programs which enhance the student experience, promote student-alumni interaction and establish a spirit of loyalty to the university.
