COLUMBUS, Ohio The Student Alumni Council (SAC) actively participated and helped plan the annual Ohio State Family Weekend from October 26-28, sponsored by the Ohio State University Parent Association. The family weekend was a weekend for parents, siblings, and relatives to enjoy the Ohio State community and visit loved ones.

Throughout the weekend there were numerous events for parents and students to attend, including two large events: the pep rally/tailgate/Ohio State-Penn State football game showing on Saturday and the family volleyball tournament held at the Recreation and Physical Activity Center on Sunday. There were more than 1500 participants at Saturday’s football festivities. SAC had three tables which were compromised of a Guess the Number of Buckeyes game, a Score Prediction game, a trivia game, and an SAC raffle.  SAC raised almost $500 through a raffle held at the event.

SAC’s own Brittany O’Neill planned the event along with Jackie Lipscomb from the Parent Association. SACers volunteered by making buckeye keychain packets, attending Saturday’s events, and helping with the volleyball tournament on Sunday.
