SAC CELEBRATES HOMECOMING WEEK

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Student-Alumni Council celebrated Ohio State’s Homecoming Week, “Let’s Go Nuts” October 14-20th with an array of events and activities welcoming alumni back to campus for the festivities. Traditionally, Homecoming Week has been a celebration of Ohio State pride and an opportunity for alumni to visit their Alma Mater. The week was highlighted by the Stephanie Spielman Homecoming 5K, Homecoming Carnival, Rigoberta Menchu Tum lecture, Residence Hall decorating, Homecoming Blood Drive, Second Annual World Series of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Homecoming Parade, Tailgate, Pep Rally, and Homecoming Game versus Michigan State. SAC volunteered at a number of events including the Spielman 5K race, Homecoming Carnival, Homecoming Blood Drive, Homecoming Parade, and Pep Rally. SAC had more than 50 volunteers including:

This year, Darci Mossbarger was the Homecoming Week PCO, who was in charge of SAC’s participation in the Homecoming festivities as well as float building for the Homecoming Parade. Student-Alumni Council’s own Courtney Banks was chair of the Homecoming Tailgate and Pep Rally along with advisor Josh Harraman.
The Student-Alumni Council is a student advancement organization dedicated to
serving Ohio State students past, present, and future through the support and
coordination of university and The Ohio State University Alumni Association,
Inc. events. A member of the Association for Student Advancement Programs
(ASAP) and its parent organization, the Council for Advancement and Support of
Education (CASE), SAC strives to advance The Ohio State University through
programs which enhance the student experience, promote student-alumni
interaction and establish a spirit of loyalty to the university.
