APPLICATION PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in SAC. Here are details about our application process. If you have questions at any time, please contact Maryann Augustine at augustine.37@osu.edu

1) Attend one information session:

  • Thursday, Oct. 11, at 5 p.m.  RPAC Meeting Room 2
  • Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. RPAC Meeting Room 2
  • Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 8 p.m. RPAC Meeting Room 2
  • Thursday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m.  RPAC Meeting Room 2

***If you are unable to attend one of these, you MUST attend an SAC meeting as well as an SAC event. Meetings are every Thursday at 6 p.m. Please check the calendar for locations, and events vary throughout the quarter.***

2) Fill out and turn in the application by Friday, Oct. 26, 2007.

These can be submitted online or to the Information Desk at the Ohio Union, located between gates 22 and 24 of the Ohio Stadium. This form must be completed in full, as incomplete forms will not be considered. A selected committee then reviews applications.

3) The applications will be reviewed and scored by Student-Alumni Council members and Alumni Association staff.

The applicants with the highest application scores will be contacted for an interview. It will be the applicant's responsibility to schedule an interview time.

Interview times:

  • Sunday, Nov. 18, 10a.m. -10 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 19, 5 p.m.-11 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 20, 5 p.m.-11 p.m.

    Interviews will be held at the Longaberger Alumni House.
    If the applicant needs a ride to the interview,
    he or she must indicate this when scheduling an interview time.
    The interviews will last approximately 20 minutes.

4) Applicants will be notified of the selections during winter quarter.

Orientation for New Members
These events are mandatory to become a member of SAC. No exceptions will be made.

  • New member meetings
    ~Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
    ~Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
    ~Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
    ~Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
    ~Tuesday, March 4, 2008, 7 p.m.-9 p.m.
  • Overnight Retreat: Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, 5 p.m.-Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, 5 p.m.
  • Induction Ceremony for new members, Thursday, February 21, 2008, 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Responsibilities of SAC General Members

  • General meetings are every Thursday at 6 p.m. fall, winter, and spring quarters. 
  • Committee meetings generally meet every week for 1-2 hours.
  • Attend SAC events.
